Description

Yogurt Sandwich Recipe is a healthy, refreshing alternative to mayonnaise-based sandwiches. Made with hung curd (Greek yogurt), fresh vegetables, and mild spices, this probiotic-rich sandwich is perfect for breakfast, lunchboxes, or light meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 bread slices (whole wheat or multigrain)
  • ¼ cup hung curd or Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup grated carrots
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
  • ¼ cup finely chopped cabbage
  • 2 tablespoons chopped bell peppers
  • 2 tablespoons boiled sweet corn
  • 1 tablespoon chopped coriander or parsley
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • Butter or olive oil for toasting

Instructions

  1. To prepare hung curd, strain yogurt in a muslin cloth for 4–6 hours or press for 30–40 minutes for quick use.
  2. In a bowl, combine hung curd with carrots, onion, cabbage, bell peppers, and corn.
  3. Add coriander, black pepper, chili flakes, and salt. Mix well to form a creamy spread.
  4. Toast bread slices lightly with butter or olive oil if desired.
  5. Spread the yogurt mixture evenly on one slice of bread.
  6. Cover with another slice, cut diagonally, and serve immediately.

Notes

Pat vegetables dry to prevent soggy sandwiches. Greek yogurt can be used directly as a hung curd substitute. The filling can be refrigerated for up to 24 hours.
