Turkey Rice Krispie Treats: The Ultimate Thanksgiving Dessert Idea

Rice Krispie Base

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 10 oz marshmallows
  • 5 cups Rice Krispies cereal

Turkey Decorations

  • ¼ cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels, melted
  • 12 chocolate wafers or Hershey Kisses
  • Candy corn (feathers)
  • Candy eyes
  • Orange M&Ms (beaks)
  • Optional: red candy melts or red candy (waddles)

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until smooth.
  2. Remove from heat and gently fold in Rice Krispies until evenly coated.
  3. Press mixture lightly into a buttered 13×9-inch pan. Let set for 30 minutes.
  4. Cut circles using a 2.5-inch cookie cutter.
  5. Decorate: Attach candy corn with melted chocolate, add chocolate face, candy eyes, orange M&M beak, and optional red waddle.
  6. Arrange on a platter and serve.

Notes

  • Do not press the cereal mixture too firmly or treats will be hard.
  • Use Cocoa Krispies for darker turkey bodies.
  • Indian corn makes colorful feathers.
  • Eat the scraps immediately—chef’s treat!
