- 2 pounds large shrimp (21–24 count), peeled and deveined
- 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Creamy Base:
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Topping:
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Butter a casserole dish.
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add salt and Old Bay seasoning. Boil shrimp for 30 seconds, then drain and pat dry.
- In a mixing bowl, combine shrimp, mayonnaise, garlic powder, black pepper, mozzarella, and cheddar cheese. Mix well.
- Spread mixture evenly into the prepared casserole dish.
- Mix melted butter with panko breadcrumbs and sprinkle over the top.
- Bake for 13–15 minutes until hot and bubbly and shrimp reaches 145°F internally.
- Broil 1–2 minutes for a golden crust.
- Let rest 15 minutes before serving.
Notes
Add breadcrumb topping right before baking for extra crunch. Serve with rice, pasta, or roasted vegetables. Not ideal for freezing as shrimp texture can change.
