- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon zest
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
- Beat melted butter, sugar, and lemon zest until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
- Stir in lemon juice.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl, then mix into wet ingredients until just combined.
- Spread batter evenly into prepared pan.
- Bake 20–25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool completely.
- Whisk glaze ingredients until smooth and pour over cooled brownies.
- Let glaze set, then slice into squares and serve.
Notes
Use fresh lemon juice and zest for best flavor. Do not overbake to keep brownies moist and chewy. Brownies freeze well for up to 3 months.
