  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 2 cups whipped topping (Cool Whip or homemade)
  • 1 cup mini chocolate eggs
  • ½ cup Easter sprinkles
  • 1 cup pastel candies or jelly beans
  • Fresh strawberries or berries (optional)
  • Edible flowers for decoration (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cake mix according to package instructions.
  2. Divide the batter into separate bowls and tint each with pastel food coloring.
  3. Bake the cakes according to the package directions and allow them to cool completely.
  4. Cut the cooled cakes into small cubes.
  5. In a mixing bowl, whisk the vanilla pudding mix with cold milk for about 2 minutes until thickened.
  6. Allow the pudding to set for about 5 minutes.
  7. In a large clear trifle bowl or glass dish, add a layer of pastel cake cubes.
  8. Spoon a layer of pudding over the cake.
  9. Add a layer of whipped topping.
  10. Repeat the layers of cake, pudding, and whipped topping until the bowl is full.

  12. Refrigerate the trifle for at least 2 hours before serving.
