Description

When you need a quick, flavor-packed dinner, these 20 Minute Thai Basil Beef Rolls deliver. This fusion recipe combines bold Thai-inspired flavors with the convenience of tortillas for a fast and satisfying weeknight meal.

Spicy, sweet, tangy, and savory all at once, these beef rolls are ready in just 20 minutes and perfect for busy schedules.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Ground beef
  • Garlic, minced
  • Fresh ginger, grated
  • Green onions, sliced
  • Chinese five-spice powder
  • Black pepper
  • Soy sauce or tamari
  • Thai chili sauce or chili paste
  • Toasted sesame oil
  • Flour tortillas (or rice paper)
  • Fresh cucumbers, sliced
  • Fresh cilantro
  • Thai basil leaves
  • Roasted peanuts, crushed

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and brown the ground beef.
  2. Add garlic, ginger, five-spice, black pepper, soy sauce, chili sauce, and sesame oil. Cook until caramelized.
  3. Warm tortillas briefly until pliable.
  4. Assemble rolls by layering beef, cucumbers, cilantro, Thai basil, green onions, and peanuts.
  5. Roll tortillas tightly and serve warm with dipping sauce.

Notes

For a lighter version, swap tortillas for rice paper. Ground chicken or pork can easily replace beef.
